Thirty years of cooking, from Israel to Paris

Ohad Amzallag is an Israeli chef based in Paris, with more than 30 years of experience in the world of restaurants and fine dining.

Throughout his career, he has led some of Israel’s finest restaurants, building deep expertise in running kitchens, culinary creation and designing gastronomic experiences.

In Paris, he founded the restaurant Guefen and was its chef: the first kosher restaurant in the world to be listed in both the Michelin Guide and Gault&Millau, putting kosher cuisine on the international gastronomic map.

Today, Ohad devotes himself to kosher gastronomy in France, through private chef experiences, culinary events and consulting for kosher entrepreneurs and restaurateurs.

His work is grounded in an in-depth knowledge of ingredients, culinary techniques and gastronomic traditions, and in a creative approach, with the conviction that kashrut is not a limit to culinary creativity, but a framework within which excellence can fully express itself.

“Kashrut is not a limit to culinary creativity, but a framework within which excellence can fully express itself.”
